Founder + factory standard

“Technology should disappear into what you already choose to wear.”

AxonRing was founded around a narrow belief: useful NFC does not need to look like a gadget. Line A is intentionally passive, programmable, and battery-free. We publish the chip and the limitations because trust matters more than a long feature list.

Factory partners are required to document chip identity, size tolerances, finish materials, and batch-level quality checks. Supplier names and verified production photos will be added only with permission and evidence—never invented for marketing.

In Shortcuts, create a Personal Automation using NFC, scan the ring, add actions, and disable confirmation only when appropriate. Availability varies by iOS version and device.

Android

Tasker + intents

Write a URL or use the NFC Tag trigger in Tasker. Android background execution and intent behavior depend on your phone’s settings.

Write only public data

Anyone with an NFC-capable phone may read an unlocked tag. Never store passwords, private keys, or sensitive personal data.

What is an NFC smart ring?

An NFC smart ring uses a small, battery-free chip to share information with a compatible phone. AxonRing is designed to open a saved web link or contact page, and can trigger phone automations after setup.

Does AxonRing need charging?

No. The passive NFC chip receives energy from the phone reader when tapped. The NFC ring has no battery to charge.

Can AxonRing pay at a store terminal?

No. Line A can open a payment link on a phone. It is not Apple Pay, a Visa card, or an issuer-tokenized payment credential.

Can it measure health or location?

No. Line A contains no health sensor, GPS, or display. Line B is a separate research waitlist and is not for sale.

Can I lock the tag?

NTAG216 supports lock features, but some changes can be permanent and tool support varies. Follow the documented workflow and verify the final record before applying any permanent lock.
